What is Boss Babe Adulting?

There are so many things I wish I knew when I was younger that could have made life (adulting) so much easier. Why didn't anyone tell me that all teenagers are constantly thinking about themselves and worrying about what others think of them? When actually, all the teenagers you are in high school with are so worried about what everyone thinks about them that they don't have time to think about you or anyone else. "They were never thinking about me!" Or why was I old enough to vote at age 18, but was never taught about politics and how they work? Shouldn't I have been taught this before I turned 18 so I could make an educated vote? Don't worry, I won't talk about politics as in who is bad or good. If anything comes up, it will just be the pros and cons of laws in place or new ones so you can make your own educated opinions just like my political professor tried her best to do by not forcing her own beliefs and opinions on her students. And we all know that we had to figure out how to handle our money and finances on our own as soon as we got our first job, well, most of us. That's why I created the Boss Babe Adulting blog. A place for you to learn what you weren't taught by teachers and guardians to make your life easier.

Who Am I, and Why Should You Listen to Me?

You don't have to. Really. I feel like my life has been a rollercoaster, and if you knew everything, maybe you wouldn't think we have anything in common. You may not even think that you could relate to me. But what's the worst that could happen?

As far as credentials go, I am only going to share information with you that I feel has benefited me. Some of the reading is based purely on experience, trial and error, while the rest is from my education, and all the reading I have done. I even have a blog page dedicated to recommending the books I have read that can help people with the same issues I have experienced and want to grow as a human.

Yes, my blogs will have affiliate links in them, but no I am not trying to sell you some sort of online course or program. I needed an outlet to put all the knowledge I gained, and I needed a passive source of income (hence the affiliate links).

My Life in A Nutshell:

I could not make friends or keep them as a child
I hated high school, was a C student at best, and was bullied
I couch surfed with relatives for 4 years after high school not knowing what to do with myself
I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps and endured sexual prejudice, harassment, assault, and all the PTSD issues that follow
Got a degree in business at a community college and found out I wasn't as dumb as my high school made me believe
Spent many years in the pet industry, worked for various types of pet businesses, and had my own pet business
Dealt with undiagnosed back pain for 6 years
Found out I was gluten intolerant and had IBS issues
More trauma
Weight fluctuations and issues that are worse now partly to do with beginning perimenopause earlier than most people
Moved around a lot
Alcohol abuse
Went back to school again for another degree in writing at a university, which also proved I was smarter than I looked
Realized I was wrong about not having daddy/abandonment issues
Found out my social and educational difficulties was due to an autistic brain development style
Currently trying to figure out how to make money without a boss and a regular 9 to 5 schedule
